Applications have opened for the Internship on the position of Sport for Development and Volunteers' Engagement National Intern (unpaid), Belarus.

  • To maximize its outreach and impact, UNICEF in Belarus partners with powerful sports federations and clubs.
  • In 2020 Sport for Development and Volunteer's Engagement Section in Belarus is working on expanding the number of sports partners and new projects with them.
  • All activities with the partners require support from UNICEF volunteers who are an integral part of this Section.

Duties

  • Contribute to the strengthening and the implementation of the UNICEF CFS model with a strong focus on volunteer engagement in sports partnerships.
  • Additionally, he/she contributes to the organization of special events with sports partners of UNICEF, including the creation of interactive part, implementation of programs with volunteer engagement in line with objectives of UNICEF country priorities in Belarus.
  • Similarly, the candidate supports joint sport partner events by providing logistic assistance as well as volunteer to engage in the activities.
  • Likewise, the candidate undertakes lessons learned and review of successful and unsuccessful organizing experiences as directed by supervisor.
  • Moreover, he/she facilitates the onboarding of new volunteers.
  • Additionally, he/she provides support for volunteer engagement online in collaboration with the Communication team.

Duration

The duration of the internship is 3 months.  The incumbent will be based in Minsk and be available for 2-3 full or 5 part-time working days per week.

Eligibility

The candidate should meet the given criteria for the Internship Opportunity at UNICEF in Belarus
  • The candidate must have a University degree or in the last year of university. He/she should focus on Communications, International Relations, Public Relations, Social/Human/Language Sciences or other related fields.
  • Also, he/she should have the ability to work in a team.
  • Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to cope with stressful and difficult conditions and political/cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Furthermore, knowledge and skills in sport management.
  • Also, Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Similarly, he/she should have experience in sport-related projects.
  • Experience in sport volunteering activities is an asset.
  • Furthermore, fluency in English and Russian is essential, both writing and speaking; Belarussian is an asset.
